Specs Windows 10 ProVersion 1607OS Build 14393.693Processor i7-6700k @ 4.00 GHzRam 32 GBSystem type 64 bit OSI'm apparently unable to install these updates after repeated attempts.Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4049411).Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4033631).Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709.I get a pop up notification that makes it so I have to acknowledge that Windows is trying to install updates now.I was able to get these two successfully installed (KB4049411) (KB4033631) several times since December 7th. They still say I require it and I suppose it's some problem trying to get to 1709. The virtual assistant isn't much help.Error codes have been 0x80070652 and 0x800701f for the installation, the latter one being the most recent error code.I had delayed going to 1709 because for me it usually seems like a good idea to wait a while before going to the latest and greatest build windows has to offer. Perhaps I missed the boat, because now it seems I can't install 1709. Virtual assistant hasn't been much help. I guess it catches the buzz word upgrade and thinks I'm trying to upgrade to windows 10. Little help would be appreciated.

Same problem here with the same build and similar specs even. I've been looking for and trying solutions but there aren't many. My updates successfully install every single day multiple times.

The same ones you are having problems with and it seems others online are too. Windows update assistant is of no help, and neither is the windows update troubleshooter. I am currently downloading the ISO for 1709 and will try to manually upgrade that way but I don't have my hopes up.

This is affecting clients of my work too and costing them due to data overages.My updates have been failing for a solid month or longer without my knowledge until this past week.Edit: 'Windows 10 update failed' after getting to 100% and the PC never restarting. I'm having the same problem, for about the last 6 weeks, with the same 2 updates. Finally I found a recommendation online that said to delete everything in C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload and try again.

I did so, and now the updates install, but even after several reboots, they CONTINUE to install over and over. Gambar papan catur. If you look at my update history, those two updates have installed 'successfully' about 10 time each! Curious if anyone else has been through this part of this Win10 fiasco. Same here, I have also tried to delete the SoftwareDistribution folder, and running the update diagnostic tool, disabled and re-enabled the update service to try to download the update again, all to no avail.

Every day Windows tries to install version 1709 and it always fails on KB4049411 and KB4033631 which seems to be patches for 1607 and has since been removed from the update database (?). The only time I have heard of people solving this is when they have reinstalled windows at version 1709.sux0rz. Same problem here. Similar specs, Windows 10 Pro. I've tried everything, including trying the same in safe mode. I've been spending many hours since december to fix this. Update troubleshooter.

Manual download of updates from windows update catalog. No matter what I try to install it fails. Various DISM commands. SFC /scannow. Finds som errors which it can't fix.

Deleted files in SoftwareDistribution. I can't remove any updates because few is shown as installed in control panel. Probably moreI rarely use the PC. Amazing how Windows can mess itself up so badly without much user intervention.

So my computer have been stuck on Windows 10 update 1607 for quite a while now, and I have tried some suggested methods to surpass that, but failed. After the install fails my PC tries to boot several times before going in recovery mode. Update 1607 wonteven show as failed installation on the update log, probably caused by the recovery.What I have done is:. Checking system reserved, ok. Temp folder is empty. to unblock update for Windows Insiders (Microsoft official website). and install manually (Microsoft official website)So, any suggestions on what causes the installation fail and how to fix this issue?
