I upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday, and have since installed the latest High Definition Audio drivers from Realtek,Unfortunately I noticed that music was sounding 'squashed' and generally absolutely terrible, which I recognised as the default Loudness Equalisation that was present by default when I first bought my laptop. The only difference is now when I right click the speaker icon click Playback Devices go to my speaker properties, there is no Enhancements tab. Just General, Levels and Advanced. Is this a driver problem? Do I need to ring technical support? I can't use my PC in its current state as this automatic compressor makes it impossible to work with music (which requires quiet and loud dynamics).Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. Uninstall the sound driver in Device Manager2. Restart your Notebook3. Reinstall the driver? After you reinstall the driver (here is the driver compatible with HP from the ), please restart the Notebook twice.Although the driver does say that it is for Windows 8.1, it was just updated on August 7, 2015 and may still be compatible with Windows 10.You can use the HP Support Assistant for drivers.

I know that there is an app for Mac OSX called 'Boom' which can do that for OSX. To all the Windows specialists, is there a way to increase Windows' volume? Yes!I found a solution to increase it without any apps, just from Windows.Enter to audio mixer - Headspeakers:Go to 'Enhancements', then check 'Loudness Equalization'This increase the general volume of Windows 10, and works fine for the game!
